Dr. Desi has always made health and wellness—for both herself and others—a priority in her life. Before relocating to Los Angeles in 2017, Dr. Desi worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Hampton University where she taught coursework in Kinesiology, Basic Skills, Neuro Rehab, and Leadership Studies. She also worked as a staff physical therapist in an orthopedic outpatient clinic. After making the ambitious decision to relocate to Los Angeles in 2017, Dr. Desi worked as an Outpatient Physical Therapist for Kaiser Permanente prior to transitioning to the home health setting.

Dr. Desi has since worked for various Home Health Agencies, an opportunity that allows Desi to ensure she is able to provide customized, hands-on, and highly specific treatment interventions to meet her patients' needs. Dr. Desi has found that the one-on-one treatment allows her to gain a deeper understanding of her patients' goals and provide a targeted treatment plan customized to their needs. She has also found that she is often able to restore hope to patients who have previously been told they would not progress. This passion motivated Dr. Desi to start her own full-time home health business.

Dr. Desi considers herself a lifelong learner, and has taken additional coursework to include Yoga and Pilates for the Older Adult, Kinesiology Taping Techniques, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Evidence-Based Fall Prevention Techniques, and Manual Therapy Techniques for Pain Control and Movement Optimization. Throughout all of his schooling and also with his current employment, Michael has allowed these two motto’s to push himself and his patients to meet their goal: 1. “Good, better, best, never let it rest until your good gets better and your better gets best” – taught to him by his mother when he was 5 years old; 2. “You can’t be mad at the progress you don’t make by the work that you don’t put in.”  When Michael is not helping clients move and feel better, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 (soon to be 4) kids, exercising, playing basketball, and practicing Jiu-Jitsu.
